How we try to help you
- We endeavour to protect our special environment that allows plants, trees & birds to thrive in their natural state, thus creating a much more pleasant and natural area in which to live.
- In the last 10 years we have killed tens of thousands of introduced pests, like possums & rats to create the environment you now see.
- We currently fundraise and source about $35,000 a year, so that professional trappers can work trap lines in this area every week, to control pests.
- In addition we organise volunteer labour to a similar value every year, to provide the myriad support roles in trapping, monitoring, fundraising and general organising required.
Membership is important to show support for the Trust's work. Funders look for evidence that the local community supports and actively assists the work of organisations like ours. Membership is $25 per person or family (one sub, one vote).
